Where these numbers come from

Two formulas, both derived straight from BPM.

1 bar

Bar length

One bar = 4 beats. Beat length is 60 ÷ BPM seconds, so a bar is 240 ÷ BPM seconds. Everything else is that number, multiplied.

ms

Delay time

A quarter note is 60,000 ÷ BPM in milliseconds. Every other note value is a fraction or multiple of that same number.

×1.5 / ×⅔

Dotted & triplet

Dotted = straight value × 1.5. Triplet = straight value × ⅔. Same trick musicians have used forever, just precomputed.

Tuttii keeps every section bar-aligned automatically.

No counting bars by hand. Drop songs in and every section snaps cleanly to the grid, ready to arrange.

All values assume 4/4 time signature, the standard for most electronic, hip-hop, and pop production.
